The LADOT Bike Program will be holding community workshops to discuss the implementation of a Metro funded bicycle wayfinding project that we’ll begin implementing this year. Four of our community workshops will take place in conjunction with LA/2B’s Think Labs, which will be held on February 25th and March 3rd (meeting locations and times can be found in the chart below or by clicking here). In addition to the LA/2B dates, we will also be holding two additional workshops on February 28 and March 7.
LADOT plans on prioritizing wayfinding signage implementation along Bicycle Friendly Street (BFS) facilities in the five year implementation plan, as well as at key locations and facilities that could use some extra signage as needed/appropriate. You can find out more about wayfinding signage – including a best practices guide from Oakland, CA – in our previous wayfinding post.
We’re still finalizing details for a meeting location on the Westside for March 7, 2012. We’ll keep you posted when we get the details secured. Below, we’ve provided a nifty chart that shows the time and locations for all six meetings. Hope to see you there!
