Now featuring bike rack locations!
The next time you’re looking for a place to park your bicycle, look no further than LADOT’s online Bicycle Services Bikeway Map. The map now shows the location of LADOT’s classic inverted U racks throughout the city, in addition to our existing and planned bikeway networks.
With over 5,000 bicycle parking spaces available in the city, chances are there is one close to your destination. To access the bike rack layer, select the box next to “Bike Parking” with a mouse click.
Once the green dots are visible, zoom into your chosen destination and look for a rack nearby. Selecting one of the green dots will result in a pop up window describing the title of the business associated with the rack or racks at that location, along with some additional identifying information. If the business has changed, or if there’s a problem with the rack (loose or in need of maintenance), double click the “Report an issue with this bike rack” link.

Report problems with existing racks or request a new bike rack.
This will generate an email with your chosen email client, allowing you to let us know what the problem is. Or, request an additional rack for the same or a new location by clicking the “Request a new bike rack” link, which will you take you to our usual online bike rack request form. The map is a work in progress and will be updated regularly as new racks are installed.
Happy bicycling!

This is great. Is there a mobile version in the works? I know the map’s accessible from mobile devices, but it’s not exactly user-friendly. Designing the map for desktop machines is a little silly, since you’re more likely to be looking for bike info when you’re out on the road, rather than sitting at your desk.
Hey Matt,
A mobile version is in the works! We’ll have updates as details become available.
