With daylight savings having just ended this past Sunday, LACBC knows many bicyclists may be riding in the dark. LACBC volunteers will be handing out rear and front lights this coming week at multiple locations. The organization has a few hundred lights to hand out, in addition to Spanish and English firefly spoke cards which provide a summary of the requirements for night riding and tips for visibility. Lights can also be purchased for $20/set. For every set purchased LACBC will be able to give away another set and they plan to continue the program until resources run out.
