We are all familiar with the phrase “a picture is worth a thousand words.” In our fast paced world, images are often the first and most important thing we take note of. With that in mind, the LADOT Bike Program needs your pictures! We invite you to share your collection of bicycling pictures with us on our new Flickr group: Bicyclists using bicycle facilities in the City of Los Angeles.
We need your great photos of people using L.A’s bicycling facilities for our website, blog (thanks for reading), and bicycle related reports. (We’re hoping this will become sort of like LAist’s featured photo pool.) Facilities include bike lanes, bike paths, sharrows, and bike racks (in-use). Your photos will go a long way towards enriching the content provided by our social media and other outreach tools. Please make sure that your photos are licensed for public use and that in the description section you provide the location and facility of your photo (ie. Reseda bike lane between Nordhoff and Plummer). Below are some examples of what we are looking for.
