The team behind the Mobility Element update process, run via the LA/2B project and the Departments of City Planning and Transportation, is currently holding a poll on “What transportation and land use features contribute to a livable neighborhood?” You can vote on what aspects of livable communities you wish to see as the foci of planning projects within the city. You can also use this site to create dialogue with planners and other avid followers on a variety of bicycle planning opportunities for Los Angeles. The poll closes on July 30.
Another poll recently administered is “What are your top Mobility Element priorities?” This poll allows individuals to express their personal preferences on the city’s direction for better transportation infrastructure. This poll closes August 30.
The Mobility Element, originally called the Transportation Element, is an effort to create as much transparency with the general public as possible regarding transportation transformation, as well as maximize the involvement of Angelenos in the development process. The greater the level of civic participation, the more influence vocal individuals can have over the direction of planning in Los Angeles. So be sure to share your opinions and have your voices heard!
