Wayfinding Survey Now Available
UPDATE: The Westside meeting scheduled for March 7th has been canceled and will NOT be held at the Google Campus in Venice. The meeting will be re-scheduled for March 14th. We’ll have a new meeting place secured early next week.
For those of you who are unable to attend our wayfinding workshops, we have created an online survey to record your responses.
My computer says I need permission to access the survey. LADOT might need to modify access to the survey.
Thanks for catching that Jeff. We will need to change the permissions. I’ll try to get that fixed as soon as possible.

Does DOT have a list of signage they are prioritizing yet, or are you just starting the process of what, where, when? Might be more productive to critique an existing list rather than just throw out random suggestions.
That said:
– Both river bike paths really need signage to let you know where to get off (like freeway signs)
– signage pointing to transit hubs are vital
– where appropriate, distances should always be put on the sign
– signs should be at decision points, not at places where they provide redundant information (like signs that mark the start of a bike lane, the lane itself already announces its existence, thanks)
Hi MaxUtil,
DOT is just starting the process and we are looking for input to prioritize which facilities / what destinations will be on our bicycle way finding signage. Thanks for your suggestions.

[…] LADOT will be hosting its next wayfinding signage meeting on Wednesday, March 14th at the Oakwood Recreation Center, located at 767 California Street in Venice. The meeting will start at 7:00PM and is the latest in an ongoing series of wayfinding workshops. We are asking for community feedback on the strategic placement of wayfinding signage for cyclists in Los Angeles. Key things to consider include: proximity to major landmarks, attractions, civic centers, and other community gathering spaces. Locations near major bicyclist and pedestrian thoroughfares and changes in street grid or pattern are also ideal candidates for signage. If you can’t make it to the meeting, make your opinion heard by filling out our Wayfinding Signage Survey. […]
