The next quarterly Bicycle Plan Implementation Team (BPIT) meeting will take place on April 17th, 2012 from 1:00PM to 4:00PM. The meeting will be held at the California Bear Credit Union Meeting Room – 100 S. Main Street Los Angeles, CA 90012. The meeting room is directly accessible from Broad Plaza – you won’t need to enter the Caltrans building. You can download the the agenda for yourself here.
The April BPIT meeting will start off with a quick update on the status of the first year EIR package. Next, City Planning will give us an update on the Mobility Element update, including modified street standards, new performance thresholds, and a concept bike priority network presentation. Next up, Bikeway Engineers will discuss the design and implementation of protected/separated bike lanes (cycle tracks), followed by a discussion on the ever growing Downtown L.A. bikeway network. Policy implantation updates, alternative financing, and integration with bike projects in West Hollywood will also be discussed. Hope to see you at the meeting!
I’m curious as to how you might add bike lanes to a recently re-built bridge that should have been built with them in the first place. Or are those the bike lanes? I thought they were wide gutters?
Hey Alex,
Unfortunately they are just wide gutters.
